O God, who willed that your Word should take on the reality of human flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary, grant, we pray, that we, who confess out Redeemer to be God and man, may merit to become partakers even in his divine nature. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

MJR (Make Jesus Real) Award

The next MJR Award will be announced as part of the Year 4 Blue Assembly on Friday 21 March.

Harmony Day

On Friday 21 March, the school will celebrate Harmony Day.  We will commence the day with a Whole School Assembly led by the Year 4 Blue class.  Students, parents, and staff are invited to come to school dressed in either their national costume or in orange.  Students will complete Harmony Day activities in class during the day.

In addition, the Discipleship Councillors have arranged a Harmony Day fundraiser to collect money for Project Compassion. Families are asked to donate a small amount of finger food from their culture that is easy to sell to the children at recess and lunch. Ideas might be samosas, sushi, dim sims, satay sticks, scones and jam, damper and so on. Families are asked to send in gold coins for children to make a purchase during the day.

Important Notice

A reminder for families yet to return any outstanding notices that were given out at the beginning of the year (e.g., medical, use of images/ICT use/excursion permission & family details), could you please sign and return these important notes to your child’s class teacher or to the front office ASAP.

School Carpark

This message is in relation to the ongoing parking issues in the school and parish carpark.

We have been contacted by the City of Armadale Council who have advised that they will be coming to the school for spot check patrols. They will issue fines where necessary, with a particular emphasis on people parking in ACROD bays – these infringements will receive a $500 fine from the City of Armadale.

Parking in the school grounds is limited to marked bays only. Please do not park anywhere that is clearly marked NO PARKING. Double parking and blocking other cars is unacceptable.

There is plenty of extra parking at the back of the school accessed by the service road that comes off Forrest Road, slightly west of the western entrance to the school.

All members of our school community need to be more aware of the fact that this ongoing issue is solely about CHILD SAFETY. To ensure harmony in the school carpark, we ask that everyone follows our basic parking guidelines and show all community members respect.

Advising the school of your child's absence

Unfortunately advising the school of your child’s absence via SeeSaw is not an option anymore. This is because class teachers don’t always have the time to check for absentees in the morning. If they don’t see your SeeSaw message, your child will be marked absent and an SMS will be automatically sent out. This can be avoided by parents following the procedure of clicking on this link, scrolling to the bottom of the page, and clicking on ‘Absentees’ : https://xavier.wa.edu.au/contact-us/

School Drop Off and Pick Up

The school understands that due to unexpected circumstances, there will be times for families when student pick up and/or drop off arrangements change.  If possible, please inform the school asap if a message needs to be sent to a child regarding a change in circumstances.  If the school receives consistent messages of late pick up or early drop off, an alternative arrangement such as OSHClub will need to be sought by parents.

A reminder that children cannot be dropped to school before 8.15am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Breakfast Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays commences at 7.45am and children will be supervised from this time on those two days.

Please do not drop your child/ren at the back of the school before official drop off times, as they are not supervised by an adult.
