Run Club

Fun and Fitness
Xavier Run Club provides students in Years 3 to 6 with the opportunity to improve their running skills, challenge themselves with new goals, and to have fun with their peers whilst being physically active. Run club guides students toward a lifelong love for physical activity by engaging them in how being physically active strengthens their heart and lungs, improves endurance levels, develops strong bones and muscles, activates their brain for learning, and builds their self-confidence.
Thirty students each term will be selected to participate in Run Club, on a first-in best-dressed basis. Students will receive a Run Club ID tag which they scan for each 250m lap completed, to track their progress and reach their running goals. Students will be awarded a Run Club badge which signifies the total amount of kilometres and laps that they have accomplished throughout the term.
Xavier Run Club is held on the Senior Oval on Friday mornings from 7:45am to 8:15am. Students must come dressed in sport uniform, with their school hat and water bottle. If their class is not normally dressed in sport uniform on a Friday, they will be required to change into their summer or winter uniform before they go to their class at Run Club’s conclusion.
