Xavier Catholic School is a double stream co-educational primary school that caters for over 460 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Xavier operates a 3-year-old pre-kindergarten program and Outside School Hours Care service for school families on the school site. Xavier Catholic School prides itself on being a family-friendly, educational environment that endeavours to work in partnership with families in the education of their children. Therefore, we recognise that parents/guardians are the first educators of their children, and we wish to work together to support our families in this vital task.

In addition to providing a balanced academic curriculum with a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy, all students take part in Religious Education programs that foster an understanding and belief in the Catholic faith. Xavier offers an inclusive education program catering to students from all backgrounds and learning abilities. Specialist support is provided across the school and includes the MiniLit and MacqLit, Bond Blocks and extension programs, all of which are conducted in school time.

All classes are taught by specialist teachers in Music, Japanese, History, Technologies and Physical Education. There are opportunities to perform in the school choir, drums ensemble, dance troupe and Coding Club. The Sporting Schools program operates after hours during school term, in addition to netball, soccer and football in the first semester as part of an interschool competition.

Xavier Catholic School is committed to developing independent learning skills and strongly encourages the use of learning technologies across the curriculum. Smart TVs are installed across the school, along with mobile devices available to support  learning. Specific programs enhancing personal health and fitness also operate across the school, which are enhanced by supportive pastoral care and a nurturing environment from compassionate and committed staff members.

Xavier Catholic School is a family-friendly community operating as a cohesive unit to support all students, families and staff. A wonderful relationship exists between the school and parish with an emphasis on our family-focused, parish-based and school-supported Sacramental program. Annual nominations to the School Advisory Council and Parents & Friends Committee ensure all members of the community can contribute to providing social and fundraising support. The school philosophy is based upon the beliefs of the Catholic Church. It reflects the values, vision, policies and motto of Xavier Catholic School – “Growing in Wisdom.”
