If your child is not returning to Xavier in 2026 (except students in Year 6), could you please inform the Office in writing by Friday 14 November.  It is a government requirement that you advise Xavier of the new school your child will be attending.

Congratulations to Eleanor Nottle (Year 6G) who was our recent recipient of the MJR Award.  She was nominated by members of the school community for “Eleanor is always a helpful, considerate and diligent student who regularly includes and supports her peers.  She displays impeccable manners and makes Jesus real every day through her positive interactions with students, staff and parents.  Eleanor is a wonderful example of a WESTIE by consistently greeting people with a polite hello and a smile upon her face.  Congratulations on your award Eleanor!”

The final MJR award for the year will be presented at the Library & Digital Technologies Assembly on Thursday 27 November.

Last week’s Socktober Day was a great success.  The school raised $324 for Catholic Mission.  A BIG thank you to Miss Gumina for organising this year’s event.

Congratulations to the 11 Year 6 students who recently received the Sacrament of Confirmation.  It was a wonderful celebration led by Fr Mark.  Thank you so much to Mrs Konle, Mr Paul Leeder, choir members, Xavier Staff and especially Mr Cox and Miss Vitanza for all the hard work that went into preparing the students and the service.

On Tuesday 11 November, the Year 2 Gold class will be leading the school in the Remembrance Day Prayer Service commencing at 12.00pm on the junior oval.

As there are only 5 weeks until the end of the school year, this is a reminder to all families that payment of outstanding school fees must be finalised by 1 December 2025.  The payment of fees is part of the contract of enrolment and is essential for the efficient financial management of the school.  Please do not hesitate in contacting myself or Finance Officer, Rosa Bicknell if you would like to discuss your child’s school fees.

A HUGE thank you to the members of the P&F who facilitated the staff appreciation lunch in honour of World Teachers’ Day this year.  The staff thoroughly appreciated their lunch -THANK YOU!!!

Congratulations to all the students who competed in last week’s Interschool Athletics Carnival.  Xavier started the second day of the carnival in sixth place out of eight schools.  We finished the day in FOURTH place.  An outstanding effort from all the athletes and Miss Aquino for the time and effort she put into training and preparing the team.  Congratulations also to Vanrosevelt Afolayan who achieved Runner-Up Champion boy for Year 6.

All students from PP-Year 6 will commence swimming lessons on Monday at Armadale Aquatic Centre.  Lessons will run until Friday 21 November.  Please ensure students have everything they need for their lesson (e.g., towel, bathers, goggles, change of underwear etc)

Parents are welcome to attend to watch their child swim (see schedule). There is a $2.50 entry charge each time, and that is if you’re not swimming. If you are swimming, the cost is $7.50 for adults.

We applied for and received a PALS (Partnership Acceptance Learning Sharing) grant to assist with the development of our Yarning Circle. A local artist, Chloe Calyon, has designed and starting painting the mural that forms a central focus in the Yarning Circle.

This year’s ACM will occur on Wednesday 26 November at 6pm.  It is hoped that parents will consider nominating for any P&F and/or School Advisory Council positions that have become available.  Please click on the button below to complete the nomination form.  All nominations must be submitted by Monday 24 November.

The next P&F Meeting will be held on Tuesday 18 November@ 6pm in the staffroom. There will also be the opportunity to join from home in a Teams video chat. We look forward to seeing you there.
