Almighty and everlasting God, we thank you for your Servant Francis, whom you called to preach the Gospel to the peoples of Asia. Raise up, we pray, in this and every land heralds and evangelists of your kingdom, that your Church may proclaim the unsearchable riches of our saviour Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
(Prayer to St. Francis Xavier – 3rd December)

Principal Message

As this is the final newsletter for the year, I would like to thank the students for all their hard work, the staff for their dedication and commitment to a supportive learning environment and finally, to all our families for your continued support throughout the year.

Thank you to those people who were able to attend last week’s ACM.  I was enormously proud to be able to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of so many people this year as well as highlight the success that has been achieved at Xavier throughout 2025.

On behalf of the school, I would like to make special mention to the members of the School’s Advisory Council – thank you all for your outstanding contribution this year.

We welcome the following staff to Xavier in 2026:  Ms Kelly Harlow, Mrs Cheryl Sullivan, Ms Kaye Elsum, Mrs Lisa MacGregor and Ms Darlene Levett.

We also farewell the following staff:  Miss Georgia Aquino, Miss Emma de Laeter and Miss Natalie Guagliardo.  On behalf of the school community, I would like to thank you all for the outstanding contribution you have made to this community over the time you have been at the school.  We wish you all the very best for your future endeavours.  Mrs Jo Wells will be taking leave for the duration of the 2026 school year.  Miss Rimmer will be taking leave from Terms 2-4.

I would like to wish ALL the school community, parents, children, staff, Fr. Mark, Fr. Grant, and our parish every blessing for the coming festive season, as well as, hoping you have a safe and happy holiday.  I look forward to another exciting school year in 2026.

Xavier Feast Day Celebrations

Thank you to the Year 4 Blue class for leading the school in the Feast of Saint Francis Xavier Mass during the week and to the P&F for hosting the Colour Run activities this afternoon.  The students have had an awesome time.

Colour Run

What a fantastic day! Our Colour Run was a huge success, the students (and staff!) had an absolute blast. There were smiles, laughter, and plenty of colour everywhere you looked. It was such a joyful way to celebrate community, fun, and fitness together. A very big thank you to our amazing P&F team for all their hard work in organising and running the event. Your energy, planning, and enthusiasm made the day such a memorable one for everyone.Thank you also to all the families who came along to cheer, volunteer, or help with clean-up — we’re so grateful for your support!

It truly was a day full of colour, laughter, and community spirit.

Big Breakfast

Well done to the Breakfast Club volunteers for Tuesday’s BIG Breakfast.  The event was well-received by our community and all the volunteers did an impressive job in cooking and serving the breakfast.

Carol's Night

Congratulations to everyone involved in last night’s Aussie Christmas Carols.  To all the families who turned out for the event – thank you!  The students from Pre-Kindy-Yr 6, did a terrific job singing their Christmas carol to the community.  Thank you to the Xavier staff for the work they put into ensuring the evening was a wonderful success.  Thank you to the P&F for organising the food trucks.  Several staff members who are leaving at the end of the year were acknowledged on the night for their contribution to the Xavier community.

School Fees

As there is only 1 week until the end of the school year, this is a reminder to all families that payment of outstanding school fees must be finalised by 12 December 2025.  The payment of fees is part of the contract of enrolment and is essential for the efficient financial management of the school.  Please do not hesitate in contacting myself or Finance Officer, Rosa Bicknell if you would like to discuss your child’s school fees.
