Behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them, then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am pleased; listen to him.”

NAIDOC Festivities

100 Days of School
Hooray! Pre-Primary and Year 1 are officially 100 days smarter, kinder and braver. On Tuesday our Pre-Primary and Year 1 classrooms transformed into an old age centre where 100 year olds were seen wandering the area with walking sticks as we celebrated 100 Days of Learning. They were accompanied by children who creatively showed us what 100 items can look like. We celebrated everything ‘100’ including special crowns, glasses, finding the 100 runaway bears, using 100 objects to build something, and Race to 100 on a number chart. A great day of fun and learning was had by all with some very tired little people (and big people) at the end of the day.
Year 3 Gets Cooking with Foodbank WA!
This week, our Year 3 students rolled up their sleeves and got cooking as part of Foodbank WA’s nom! Schools Healthy Eating and Cooking Program.
The students had a fantastic time learning about healthy eating, practising safe food preparation and working together to create a delicious, healthy meal. There were plenty of smiles, teamwork and excitement as everyone had a go in the kitchen, and best of all, students took home their very own recipe book to try some of the recipes with their families.
A huge thank you to the team from Foodbank WA for delivering such a fun and engaging program. We can’t wait for our second session next week!
Faction Cross Country
Congratulations to all the students who represented the school at yesterday’s Interschool Cross Country Carnival held at Tomato Lake. The students did themselves and the school proud both on and off the track with their sportsmanship and behaviour. Thank you to Mr Chambers for all the hard work he has put into organising and preparing the team in readiness for the carnival. Thank you to the staff who assisted on the day. Congratulations to Nate Henwood who won Champion boy for Year 6, and to Christian Tesfay who won Runner Up Champion Boy for Year 5. Xavier finished in 5th position overall – a great performance!
