Father in heaven, all creation rightly gives you praise, for all life and all holiness come from you.
You have taken up body and soul into heavenly glory the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of your Son. In her, you have shown us a sign of hope and comfort for all people, and the promise of our own eventual resurrection.
As we honour her glorious Assumption into Heaven, please intercede for us and for all your children. Help us to follow her example of faith, humility, and trust in your divine plan, so that we may one day share in the fullness of your eternal kingdom through Christ our Lord.

MJR (Make Jesus Real) Award

Congratulations to Abby Asphar (1G) who is our latest MJR Award recipient. “Abby consistently demonstrates a caring and welcoming demeanour towards all those she meets. She is a polite and considerate member of the Xavier School Community and will go out of her way to assist those in need. Abby makes Jesus real through her positive interactions with students, staff and parents and we are very lucky to have Abby as a shining star in our school community. Keep up the great work Abby!” The next MJR Award will be presented at the Year 6 Gold Assembly on Friday 18 September.

Sacrament of First Holy Communion (Term 3)

A final rehearsal will be held for all candidates at 9.30am on Tuesday 18^th August. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will take place on Sunday 23 August commencing at 9.30am.

NAIDOC Festivities

Our recent NAIDOC Festivities were a wonderful success. A BIG thank you to Leah Middleton and her team of assistants on the day for all the work that went into ensuring every student from K-6 had the opportunity to share in the event.

Performing Arts Festival

Next Tuesday 18 August, the School Choir will close out Xavier’s participation in this year’s Performing Arts Festival by singing Panis Angelicus & This Little Light of Mine. Congratulations to everyone who has performed on stage during the past four weeks. The feedback has been fantastic, and the results have been amazing.

QCESR

This week, a panel from CEWA attended Xavier as part of the QCESR (Quality Catholic Education School Review). This review involved the panel meeting with staff, students and parents and discussing the school’s improvement journey over the past 3 years and its direction for the next 3 years. I am pleased to announce, based on the panel’s findings, that they were complimentary in their remarks regarding the school. Thank you to everyone who participated in the process.
