Heavenly and Almighty Father, I give thanks this day for your great gift of Jesus Christ, that you would love me so much you would send your only Son to live and die for my sins. I celebrate in his glorious resurrection, claiming victory over death and sin. May I daily die to my sin, ever stepping closer to you and your path for my life. Forgive my sins, Lord, and let me live fully in the joy of Christ. Amen.

Synergy Solar Challenge
This term, the Year Six students have been enthusiastically participating in the Synergy Schools Solar Challenge. Over the course of the term, they have worked collaboratively to design and construct solar-powered cars, blending their understanding of Technology and Science. To conclude this exciting initiative, four of our talented Year Six students—Mia, Connor, Sienna, and Elvin—participated in the Synergy Schools Solar Challenge at Southern River College on April 1st. They were chosen to represent the school due to their creativity and determination demonstrated in classroom lessons.
The team’s project involved crafting and racing a solar-powered car, requiring a combination of engineering skills, teamwork, and innovative problem-solving. Despite facing obstacles during the design and testing phases, the students demonstrated resilience and ingenuity, ensuring their car met the competition’s challenging standards. Their efforts carried them through to the second round, where they narrowly missed advancing further by the smallest margin. Throughout the competition, the team showcased exceptional perseverance, collaboration, and composure under pressure.
A huge congratulations to this incredible group for their outstanding achievement and inspiring teamwork, representing our school with such pride! And a huge thanks to Miss Tucker for providing such wonderful learning opportunities for the children.
Chevron Zero2Hero Program
This term the year 5 children have participated in the Chevron Tough Stuff program. It is designed for the children to prove to themselves just how tough they are!
This program empowers students to develop and improve their resilience, confidence and sense of achievement. The program supports the Year 5 Health and Physical Education curriculum as students develop knowledge, understanding and skills to create opportunities and take action to enhance their own, and others’ health, wellbeing, safety and physical activity participation.
The children received both physical and mental coaching to set them up for the end of program 4km fun run. Everyone participated so well on the day, we heard so much great encouragement and positive talk, and everyone completed the 4kms in the time frame.
From our Social Worker
The FIFO Family Project began as a solution to the lack of support for FIFO families. We provide community events, educational resources and workforce wellbeing initiatives to ensure every member of the FIFO Family receives the necessary support to successfully navigate this unique lifestyle.
It’s not easy for everyone to understand the realities of FIFO life. We know that loneliness and isolation can be among some of the toughest parts of the FIFO lifestyle – both for the workers on site and their families at home.
That’s why we host our FIFO Family Meet-ups + Events — to bring people together with other FIFO families, who get it.
