If your child is not returning to Xavier in 2024, with the exception of Year 6 students, could you please inform the Office in writing by Friday 24 November. It is a government requirement that you advise Xavier of the new school your child will be attending.
Please remember that there is a Pupil Free Day on Friday 10 November.
Remembrance Day Prayer Service
Next Thursday, the Year 3 Blue class will be leading the school in the Remembrance Day Prayer Service commencing at 10.40am in the Undercover Area.
MJR Award
The final MJR Award for the year will be presented at the History & Science Assembly on Friday 17 November.
Sacrament of Confirmation
Congratulations to the 30 Year 6 students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last Sunday. It was a wonderful celebration led by the Vicar General Fr. Peter Whitely. A big thank you also to Fr. Mark, Mrs Konle, Mr Paul Leeder, Mr Mario Leeder, Xavier Staff and especially Mr Tucker and Miss Cresswell for all the hard work that went into preparing the students and the service.
School Fees
As there are only 5 weeks until the end of the school year, this is a reminder to all families that payment of outstanding school fees must be finalised as soon as possible. The payment of fees is part of the contract of enrolment and is essential for the efficient financial management of the school. Please do not hesitate in contacting myself or Finance Officer, Rosa Bicknell if you would like to discuss your child’s school fees.
Interschool Athletics Carnival
Congratulations to all the students who competed in last week’s Interschool Athletics Carnival. Xavier started the second day of the carnival in sixth place out of eight schools. We finished the day in THIRD place (our best finish ever!!). An outstanding effort from all the athletes and Miss Aquino for the time and effort she put into training and preparing the team. Well done to the following students who achieved a medal for their year level:

Stella Slee – Runner-Up Champion Year 6 Girl
Congratulations to Jaydon Anthony (Year 6) who represented Xavier at the recent School Sports WA Track & Field Championships. Jaydon won the 1500m & 800m for Year 6 – Super effort, Jaydon!
World Teachers' Day
A HUGE thank you to Ben Jenkins Snr, Iane Jenkins, Mary Pinto, Monica Henry, Concetta Luipca, Lakshika Udagedara, and Clare Kosick who, on behalf of the P&F, facilitated the staff appreciation lunch in honour of World Teachers’ Day this year. The lunch was outstanding – THANK YOU!
Silly Scientist Science incursion
On Wednesday 25th our K-6 students participated in a science incursion by ‘The Silly Scientist’. We watched an interactive performance with music and science experiment demonstrations.
During the performance, students learned to make elephant toothpaste, how lava lamp works and explored how optical illusions trick the brain. Our favourite was definitely the stomp rocket launcher!
Book Fair
Thank you to all the families who attended this year’s Book Fair. A big thank you to Mrs Wells and Mrs Kelly for all the work that went into hosting the fair this year. The school raised over $2,500.
4-Year-Old Kindy Interviews 2024
The 2024 Kindy enrolment interviews are continuing to be held with Leadership. The interview process has been a wonderful opportunity for us to meet families, their child and to answer any questions they may have about the school or the 4-Year-Old Kindy program.
Annual General Meeting
This year’s AGM will occur on Wednesday 22 November at 7pm. It is hoped that parents will consider nominating for the P&F and/or School Advisory Council positions that have become available.
