Oh God, who raised up Saint Mark, your Evangelist, and endowed him with the grace to preach the Gospel, grant, we pray, that we may so profit from his teachings as to follow faithfully in the footsteps of Christ. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Welcome & Farewell

Welcome back to Term 2.  We trust you had an enjoyable Easter break and were able to spend quality time with your children during the holidays.

We would like to formally welcome Mrs Aloka Senaka who will be Educational Assistant in Year 5 while Mrs Page is on Parental Leave.  Welcome to Chantelle D’Souza (PPG) who is completing a 6-week practicum from ECU.

It is with a sense of sadness that we will farewell Miss Samantha Baggetta (Admin Officer) next Friday 3rd May.  Miss Baggetta has been at Xavier for 4 years, firstly as an Educational Assistant and then as the school’s Administration Officer.  Thank you, Miss Baggetta, for everything you have accomplished during your time at the school, and we wish you every success in your future endeavours.  As a school community, we will have an opportunity to farewell Miss Baggetta at the Year 1 Blue Assembly next Friday.

MJR Award

Congratulations to Banek Bol Chienggan (2B) who is this month’s MJR Award recipient.  He was nominated by members of the school community for: “Banek is a cheerful and friendly student who always makes sure that other people are not feeling left out, or lonely.  He is a fantastic example to his peers and greets those he meets with a happy smile and a big ‘hello.’  Banek, you really do make Jesus real each and every day.  Congratulations on your award!”  Read more about Banek’s reaction to winning the MJR Award.  The next MJR Award will be presented at the Year 6 Blue assembly on Friday 24 May.

Congratulations to FATHER Errol

On Friday 19 April, the Leadership Team had the pleasure of being invited to attend Deacon Errol’s Ordination at St Mary’s Cathedral.  It was a moving ceremony and the fact that Deacon Errol has had so much to do with the parish and school, made the ceremony even more special.  Congratulations, Father Errol!
